Charla Kay ... born in Beaumont and raised in Houston ... a Westbury High School " REBEL " graduate and a graduate of Houston Baptist University. She grew up musically inspired by two pianist parents and singing sisters in a home strongly influenced with " SOUTHERN " Baptist heritage. She appreciates all genres of music with a special passion for
" good old Southern Rock ". When her Skynyrd loving husband found Modoc many years ago, they both became faithful followers of the Modoc Tribe. She says she is grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing group of talented & devoted musicians. When she's not teaching, you might find her relaxing by experiencing freedom in " The Breeze " riding her Harley Fat Boy. She takes great pride in her Southern battle scars ( the callouses & blisters in the palm of her hands ), because once she picks up the tambourine she doesn't like to put it down, as she believes in shaking up the stage with all she's got !!
